Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately code inpatient records using the ICD10CM/PCS coding system
• Ensure compliance with coding rules and regulations from regulatory agencies
• Abstract prescribed data elements from medical records and collaborate to meet departmental goals

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must have AHIMA CCS or RHIT certification
• Required coding certificate with extensive relevant experience
• Knowledge of encoder systems, IPPS, DRG/MSDRGs, and coverage determination policies
• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient facility coding experience
