CDI Auditor Certification Required

Job Summary

To enhance clinical documentation quality, the full-time remote CDI Auditor will review clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance, perform audits, and provide education to improve coding accuracy and reimbursement integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high-level, secondary case reviews to ensure accurate and comprehensive provider documentation
• Analyze audit findings and prepare detailed reports with trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Provide feedback and education to CDI specialists, coders, and clinical staff

Required qualifications

• CDDS or CDIP certification required
• RN preferred but not required
• Minimum of 3 years' CDI experience
• Thorough knowledge of official medical coding guidelines and CMS regulations
• Ability to communicate collaboratively with physicians and hospital staff
