CDI Specialist - 2nd Level Reviewer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Specialist - 2nd Level Reviewer.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive secondary clinical chart reviews to identify documentation gaps and discrepancies
• Acts as a liaison between coding and CDI teams to resolve discrepancies and improve documentation quality
• Collaborates with clinicians and CDI educators to enhance understanding and compliance with documentation standards

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with BSN, ADN, or an accredited medical school with MD or equivalent, or a Bachelor's/Master's Degree in a health-related field
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse, MD, or equivalent, or Credentialed Medical Coder with relevant certifications
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in clinical documentation, CDI second level review, or inpatient coding quality review
• Strong understanding of disease processes, clinical indications, and documentation requirements for accurate coding and billing
• Must maintain credentials while employed
