CDI Specialist - 2nd Level Reviewer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Specialist - 2nd Level Reviewer - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive secondary clinical chart reviews to identify documentation clarification and coding opportunities
• Collaborate with various healthcare professionals to ensure documentation meets clinical and regulatory standards
• Document and communicate findings of secondary reviews to enhance understanding of clinical documentation integrity goals

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with BSN, ADN, or equivalent medical degree
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse, MD, or equivalent, or credentialed Medical Coder through AHIMA
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in clinical documentation or inpatient coding quality review
• Strong understanding of disease processes, clinical indications, and documentation requirements
• Must maintain credentials while employed
