Job Summary

A company is looking for a CDI Specialist-Outpt.

Key Responsibilities:

• Focusing on improving the quality and completeness of clinical documentation through interaction with providers and team members
• Reviewing documentation, identifying opportunities for improvement, and initiating communication with healthcare professionals
• Providing education and ongoing support to providers and staff on documentation issues and compliance

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant certification (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, etc.) and several years of coding or clinical experience
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with clinical experience in outpatient or inpatient care
• Experience in CDI and familiarity with Risk Adjusted Coding or Evaluation and Management
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Preferred certifications such as CCDS, CPC, CCS-P, etc
