CDM Specialist

Job Summary

Serving as a Charge Description Master (CDM) Specialist, the full-time remote position will ensure compliance with coding and billing guidelines, collaborate with clinical departments, and provide regulatory support to Clinical Charge Capture Specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Ensures routine and annual CDM updates comply with regulatory coding and billing guidelines
• Collaborates with clinical and IT departments to maintain and synchronize CDM requests and preference lists
• Provides support and guidance to Clinical Charge Capture Specialists for resolving coding and billing questions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, management, healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field
• 3-5 years of work experience related to billing and coding
• Knowledge of ICD, CPT / HCPCS codes and third-party reimbursement policies
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications for report development and presentations
