Cell Tracking Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting a major scientific initiative, the part-time contract Cell Tracking Analyst will review, correct, and document tracking errors in large time lapse microscopy datasets while utilizing specialized image analysis software in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform tracking corrections on large time lapse microscopy datasets using internal image analysis tools
• Document tracking errors, including error types, time spent, and patterns observed across datasets
• Collaborate with the hiring manager through regular meetings and incorporate feedback to improve accuracy and consistency

Required qualifications

• Experience with microscopy image analysis tools such as Napari, ImageJ/Fiji, or CellProfiler
• Ability to identify and correct segmentation/tracking errors in time lapse datasets
• Strong documentation skills for tracking error types and improvement notes
• High attention to detail and comfort with meticulous visual QC workflows
• Ability to work independently after onboarding with minimal supervision
