Job Summary

A company is looking for a Central Appeals Support Specialist to manage and support the behavioral health appeals process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track and follow up on behavioral health appeals submitted to insurance companies, resolving claim and appeal issues effectively
  • Refile denied or incorrectly processed claims in a timely and accurate manner
  • Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), denial codes, and remittance advice to determine appeal strategy
Required Qualifications
  • High School degree required; Vocational/Technical School Graduate preferred
  • 1-3 years related experience required; 3-5 years preferred
  • Medical/Coding certification preferred
  • Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and insurance billing guidelines
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems
