Job Summary
A company is looking for a Central Appeals Support Specialist to manage and support the behavioral health appeals process.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and follow up on behavioral health appeals submitted to insurance companies, resolving claim and appeal issues effectively
- Refile denied or incorrectly processed claims in a timely and accurate manner
- Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), denial codes, and remittance advice to determine appeal strategy
Required Qualifications
- High School degree required; Vocational/Technical School Graduate preferred
- 1-3 years related experience required; 3-5 years preferred
- Medical/Coding certification preferred
- Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and insurance billing guidelines
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems
