Job Summary
Managing inbound and outbound scheduling calls, the full-time Central Scheduling Specialist will coordinate patient appointments for outpatient procedures using EPIC tools while working remotely within a drivable distance of Winston-Salem or Charlotte.
Key responsibilities
- Manage inbound calls from providers and clinical staff regarding patient scheduling needs
- Use EPIC scheduling tools to efficiently coordinate appointments across multiple hospitals
- Proactively handle scheduling queues to ensure timely patient access to services
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum one year of experience in scheduling, patient access, or related medical environment
- Healthcare insurance experience preferred
- Experience with EPIC scheduling tools preferred
- Basic medical terminology knowledge required
