Central Scheduling Specialist

Job Summary

Managing inbound and outbound scheduling calls, the full-time Central Scheduling Specialist will coordinate patient appointments for outpatient procedures using EPIC tools while working remotely within a drivable distance of Winston-Salem or Charlotte.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound calls from providers and clinical staff regarding patient scheduling needs
• Use EPIC scheduling tools to efficiently coordinate appointments across multiple hospitals
• Proactively handle scheduling queues to ensure timely patient access to services

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum one year of experience in scheduling, patient access, or related medical environment
• Healthcare insurance experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC scheduling tools preferred
• Basic medical terminology knowledge required
