Job Summary
Responsible for scheduling, cancelling, and registering outpatient visits and procedures for multiple ambulatory clinics, the full-time Centralized Scheduler will collect necessary information and ensure patient records are up-to-date while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Obtain and verify patient guarantor information annually to maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule and register patients based on established guidelines and medical appropriateness
- Respond to patient and staff needs, managing scheduling modifications and notifying appropriate personnel of changes
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- State criminal background check and Federal background check as required for regulated areas
- Experience in scheduling and patient registration processes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a standard office environment
- Familiarity with medical terminology and referral processes
