Ceph Storage Consultant

Job Summary

To support critical storage infrastructure initiatives, the remote contract Ceph Storage Administration Sr. Consultant will design, implement, and optimize enterprise-scale Ceph storage environments while providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Ceph storage clusters in enterprise environments
• Monitor and optimize cluster health, performance, and capacity planning while performing upgrades and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience administering enterprise storage platforms
• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Ceph storage environments
• Strong experience with Linux administration (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Deep understanding of distributed storage architectures and software-defined storage concepts
• Experience with scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Ansible
