Certified Actuary Senior Director

Job Summary

Leading a team of pricing and reporting analysts, the remote Certified Actuary Senior Director will manage the underwriting process for new customer acquisitions and existing relationships while driving profitable growth through data analysis and product innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze claims data to develop cost-of-care projections for renewals and new business opportunities
• Evaluate cost impacts of new product initiatives and propose rate structures to maximize profitability
• Ensure adherence to underwriting policies and procedures while providing recommendations on product and customer rates to senior management

Required qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience in underwriting, with at least 5 years in a management role
• Thorough knowledge of the health care and health insurance industries
• Experience in analyzing medical and administrative cost data
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• Certified Actuary designation (ASA or FSA) required
