Certified Ambulance Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle management process, the remote Billing Resolution Specialist will ensure accurate and timely coding and billing of claims while resolving issues that prevent claims from being released to payors.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform post-billing reviews for patient signatures and third-party liability coverage to facilitate claim payments
• Submit new and corrected claims through online payor portals and conduct quality assurance reviews of processed claims
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies while consistently meeting production goals

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of EMS billing experience preferred
• Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC) preferred
• Proficiency in Excel functions such as filters, pivot tables, and conditional formatting
• Strong knowledge of EMS billing rules and health insurance payor groups (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial)
