Certified Ambulance Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and quality-focused, the full-time Certified Ambulance Billing Specialist will ensure accurate and timely coding and billing of claims, maintain compliance with regulations, and achieve performance metrics while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Utilize Master Billing Guides to review PCR for medical necessity and appropriate coding
• Complete the billing quality scrub process and maintain billing accuracy scores
• Participate in daily Billing team huddles and manage claims in compliance with internal policies

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of EMS Billing experience preferred
• Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC) certification preferred
• Demonstrated ability or willingness to attain QMC Biller Certification upon employment
• Strong knowledge of EMS billing rules and health insurance payor groups
