Certified Auditing Consultant

Job Summary

Evaluating client coding practices, the full-time remote Certified Auditing Consultant will perform complex analyses of medical record documentation, prepare summary reports of findings, and develop educational content related to audit results.

Key responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and retrospective analysis of medical record documentation to validate coded data
• Prepare summary reports of findings and provide second-level reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards
• Conduct audits and deliver coding education to clients while maintaining productivity standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of auditing experience in professional fee coding with E/M leveling
• Coding certification through AHIMA or AAPC (CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA) required
• Experience with telecommuting and electronic medical record systems
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects effectively
