Job Summary
To enhance patient mortality outcomes, the full-time Certified CDI Specialist will conduct second-level clinical chart reviews, analyze documentation accuracy, and collaborate with client leadership and internal teams in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive second-level clinical mortality reviews to evaluate documentation accuracy and identify gaps
- Analyze clinical records to assess severity of illness and risk of mortality, ensuring accurate representation
- Engage in client-facing discussions and present findings while managing multiple review workflows effectively
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field or equivalent experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) or related fields
- Strong clinical acumen and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Experience with second-level clinical mortality reviews and risk-adjustment modeling
