Certified Clinical Doc Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist (Days).

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Clinical Documentation Team and provide educational support for required documentation elements
• Serve as a front-line resource for the Clinical Documentation Improvement team
• Assist in quality improvement initiatives related to clinical documentation

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Education: RN, BSN, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CIC, CCDS, or CDIP
• Experience: 3 years of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) experience and 2 years in related fields, or 2 years CDI and 3 years related experience
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Extensive knowledge of disease processes and clinical outcomes
• Ability to work flexible schedules and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
