Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Clinical Documentation Specialist to support clinical documentation integrity and coding compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Adapt to varied facility workflows, EHRs, and service lines while supporting new CDS onboarding and best practice implementation
• Perform compliant query generation to clarify documentation impacting coding, severity, quality, and reimbursement
• Quickly acclimate to local workflows, EHRs, and CDI software

Required Qualifications

• Clinical Documentation Prof. credential from the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists required prior to hire
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or 5 years of relevant experience
• 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred
• CCDS certification with advanced knowledge of clinical documentation and coding standards
• Proficient with multiple CDI tools and adaptable to various hospital systems and workflows
