Job Summary
Serving as a high-level clinical documentation integrity expert, the full-time Lead Clinical Documentation Specialist will address urgent CDI issues, mentor front-line CDSs, and ensure compliance with strategic initiatives while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary resource for urgent CDI issues, including payer denials and audits
- Mentor front-line CDSs on complex cases and analyze documentation and coding data for trends
- Lead and ensure compliance of strategic CDI initiatives across markets and evaluate results for implementation
Required qualifications
- CCDS Certification from the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or 5 years of applicable experience
- 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred
