Job Summary
To enhance clinical documentation practices, the fully remote Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist will analyze clinical documentation, identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate with healthcare teams, leveraging five years of CDI experience in Obstetric and NICU settings.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to improve documentation practices and patient care quality
- Identify opportunities for clinical documentation improvement and provide education to staff as needed
Required qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) certification
- 5 years of Clinical Documentation Integrity experience, particularly with Obstetric and NICU populations
- Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
- Acute care nursing experience in relevant specialties strongly preferred
