Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Coder - PRN.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews and provide recommended corrections of billed services for inpatient medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines
• Perform DRG validation to ensure appropriate assignment based on clinical documentation and coding
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to maintain coding integrity and clarity in clinical documentation

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One or more coding credentials: CCS, CPC, or CIC
• At least 1 year of inpatient medical coding experience with DRG validation
• Passing scores on job-related pre-employment assessments
• Experience in coding or medical billing quality control is preferred
