Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder to ensure accurate and compliant coding for ambulatory surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and accurately code ambulatory surgical procedures for reimbursement
• Collaborate with physicians to clarify documentation and ensure compliance with coding guidelines
• Maintain a coding accuracy rate of 90% or higher while coding a minimum of 50 cases per day

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school graduate or GED certification
• Current certification in CPC, RHIA, or RHIT
• Completion of formal education in ICD-9-CM/ICD-10/CPT coding, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Minimum of two years of acute care coding experience
• Proficiency with computers and Windows-based software
