Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coder to ensure accurate and compliant coding for ambulatory surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and accurately code ambulatory surgical procedures for reimbursement
- Collaborate with physicians to clarify documentation and ensure compliance with coding guidelines
- Maintain a coding accuracy rate of 90% or higher while coding a minimum of 50 cases per day
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High school graduate or GED certification
- Current certification in CPC, RHIA, or RHIT
- Completion of formal education in ICD-9-CM/ICD-10/CPT coding, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Minimum of two years of acute care coding experience
- Proficiency with computers and Windows-based software
