Certified Coder - Anesthesiology

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Coder (Remote) - Anesthesiology.

Key Responsibilities

• Review surgical documentation to select appropriate diagnoses and procedures for billing
• Code evaluation and management services for pain management and critical care to appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Assist in increasing physician awareness of documentation requirements and follow up on unsigned dates of service

Required Qualifications

• Must have one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, or CCS-P); AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A)
• No specific work experience is required
• A diploma, certification, or degree is not required
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred
• Previous coding experience or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred
