Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Coder (Remote, Orthopedics).

Key Responsibilities

• Abstracts and assigns diagnosis and procedure codes from patient records for billing and reimbursement
• Audits medical records to ensure proper coding and compliance with regulatory agencies
• Collaborates with departmental leadership to provide coding feedback and education

Required Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent preferred
• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred
• Two years' coding experience preferred
• Two years' healthcare experience preferred
• Certification as CCS, CPC, CIRC, or equivalent is required
