Certified Coder (CPC)

Job Summary

To support medical coding activities, the full-time Certified Coder (CPC) will perform chart reviews, ensure accurate reporting of ICD-10 and CPT codes, and provide training to the provider network, all in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing member medical chart reviews and accurately abstract ICD-10 and CPT diagnosis codes
• Document findings from chart reviews and provide feedback to leadership and providers
• Facilitate training and education for the provider network on risk adjustment and coding updates

Required qualifications

• At least 2 years of medical coding experience or equivalent education and experience
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification
• Knowledge of the latest CMS and AHA clinic coding standards
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and applicable software programs
