Certified Coder (CPC)

Job Summary

To support a growing revenue cycle management team, the full-time Certified Coder (CPC) will perform professional coding services, ensuring accurate coding according to AMA and CMS guidelines while working remotely from TX, NC, SC, or FL.

Key responsibilities

• Review and audit charge encounters for correct coding across multiple facilities and systems
• Analyze medical records to identify documentation deficiencies and ensure compliance with payer policies
• Provide customer service and support to resolve coding-related inquiries and improve reimbursement processes

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of progressive experience in medical coding/reimbursement
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Experience with AdvancedMD or NextGen databases is highly desired
• Familiarity with insurance billing guidelines and processes for resolving denied claims
