Certified Coder - Emergency Medicine

Job Summary

To support the coding needs of emergency medicine, the full-time Certified Coder - Emergency Medicine will review medical records, assign appropriate billing codes, and collaborate with physicians, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical documentation to identify diagnoses and procedures for accurate coding
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes for evaluation and management services
• Assist and lead coding staff in understanding medical terminology and documentation policies

Required qualifications

• Must possess one of the following coding credentials: CCA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, or CPC-H-A
• No specific work experience is required for this position
• A diploma, certification, or degree is not required
