Job Summary
Leading a billing team to ensure accurate reimbursement for providers' claims, the full-time Certified Coder I will perform coding and documentation review while working remotely from Beachwood, OH.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial charge reviews to assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes for physician services
- Analyze provider documentation to ensure accurate Evaluation & Management levels and compliance with guidelines
- Monitor billing processes and maintain knowledge of coding regulations to ensure compliance and high productivity standards
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified professional coder through AAPC with a minimum of two years' experience preferred
- Experience with Urology, Behavioral Health, FQHCs, and Hospital Surgical coding highly desired
- Knowledge of health information management protocols and confidentiality standards
- Proficiency in health information management systems, billing software, and Microsoft Office
