Certified Coder I

Job Summary

Leading a billing team to ensure accurate reimbursement for providers' claims, the full-time Certified Coder I will perform coding and documentation review while working remotely from Beachwood, OH.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial charge reviews to assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes for physician services
• Analyze provider documentation to ensure accurate Evaluation & Management levels and compliance with guidelines
• Monitor billing processes and maintain knowledge of coding regulations to ensure compliance and high productivity standards

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified professional coder through AAPC with a minimum of two years' experience preferred
• Experience with Urology, Behavioral Health, FQHCs, and Hospital Surgical coding highly desired
• Knowledge of health information management protocols and confidentiality standards
• Proficiency in health information management systems, billing software, and Microsoft Office
