Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder II - Technical.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assign accurate ICD-9-CM, CPT, and DSM IV codes for outpatient and inpatient accounts
• Participate in monthly coding meetings and maintain continuing education to ensure coding accuracy and productivity standards
• Utilize computer applications to efficiently complete the coding process and address any discrepancies in documentation

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified Coding program or equivalent
• 2 years of hospital coding experience
• Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and Medical Terminology
• Eligible for RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification
