Certified Coder II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder II - Technical.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review coding for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to the billing system, utilizing standard coding guidelines
• Code all diagnoses and procedures by assigning and verifying the proper ICD-10-CM and CPT codes
• Maintain daily productivity statistics and submit weekly productivity reports to management

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Two years of hospital coding experience
• Completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified Coding program or equivalent
• Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Medical Terminology, ICD-9-CM and CPT Coding Guidelines
• Eligibility for RHIA, RHIT, CCS certifications
