Certified Coder II

Job Summary

Responsible for coding surgical records and evaluation encounters, the full-time Certified Coder II will work remotely to abstract data from medical records into Epic and 3M 360, ensuring compliance with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Abstract data from medical records to provide detailed case summaries
• Identify and code diagnoses and procedures according to established guidelines
• Ensure compliance with coding procedures mandated by government and payers

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient multidisciplinary coding or Provider E&M Level of Service Coding experience
• At least one coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA
