Certified Coder II
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Certified Coder II will abstract data from medical records into Epic and 3M 360, code diagnoses and procedures according to ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines, and ensure compliance with coding standards for various medical records.
Key responsibilities
- Abstract data from medical records to provide detailed case summaries
- Identify and code primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures for outpatient multidisciplinary coding
- Ensure compliance with government and payer mandates for coded data completion
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient multidisciplinary coding or Provider E&M Level of Service Coding experience
- At least one coding certification required (e.g., CPC, COC, CPC-P, CRC, CIC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA)
