Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder III - Technical.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to Pre-Bill edit and error reports, and assist in training other coders
• Assign appropriate ICD-9-CM and CPT codes by reviewing patient documentation to ensure accurate reimbursement
• Maintain coding accuracy standards and participate in operational improvements within the department

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified Coding program or equivalent
• 3 years of hospital coding experience
• Certification as CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or Certified Professional Coder
• Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and Medical Terminology
