Certified Coder III

Job Summary

Seeking a remote full-time Certified Coder III, this position will monitor and respond to accounts on Pre-Bill edit and error reports, assist in training other coders, and perform coding corrections while ensuring timely billing and accuracy in coding practices.

Key responsibilities:

• Assign appropriate ICD-9-CM/ICD-10 and CPT codes based on thorough review of patient documentation
• Maintain coding accuracy standards of 98% and meet productivity benchmarks set by management
• Identify incomplete documentation and formulate physician queries to obtain necessary information for accurate coding

Required qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified Coding program or equivalent
• Three years of hospital coding experience
• Strong interventional radiology and cardiology CPT coding skills preferred
• Certification as CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or Certified Professional Coder required
