Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Coder Abstractor - Outpatient Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records to determine coding and abstraction needs, ensuring productivity standards are met
• Assign ICD10-CM, ICD10-PCS, and CPT-4 codes in accordance with established guidelines
• Communicate with healthcare professionals for clarification on records to ensure accurate coding and compliance

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information, or CCS certification with 2 years of coding experience
• Certification as RHIT, RHIA, or CCS is required
• 1-3 years of experience using ICD10-CM and ICD10-PCS coding systems
• Ability to meet productivity and quality standards
