Certified Coder - Surgery

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Coder (Remote) - Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical record documentation to select appropriate diagnoses and procedures for coding
• Code evaluation and management to CPT codes and diagnoses to ICD-9 codes
• Assist with physician documentation requirements and prepare case reports for billing

Required Qualifications

• Must possess one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, or CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A)
• No specific work experience is required
• A diploma, certification, or degree is not required
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred
• Associate degree in Medical Coding & Billing is preferred
