Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Advocate.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract clinical information from medical records, charts, and documents
• Assign appropriate ICD-10 and/or CPT-4 codes to patient records
• Input and maintain data for state or other reporting requirements

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree may be required
• AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or AHIMA CCS certification typically required
• 4+ years of related experience
• Proficiency in coding multiple specialties
• Additional credentials may be beneficial
