Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Advocate-Revenue Cycle Liaison.

Key Responsibilities

• Review system-generated coding edits and determine appropriate corrective actions
• Analyze documentation to validate coding assignments and ensure compliance with guidelines
• Collaborate with coding staff to resolve complex issues and abstract clinical information for coding

Required Qualifications and Education

• Associate degree may be required
• Certification from AAPC (CPC) or AHIMA (RHIT or CCS) is necessary
• Typically requires 4+ years of related OBS/OPS coding experience
• Proficiency in multiple specialties of coding discipline
• Additional credentials may be beneficial
