Job Summary
Serving as a resource for coding functions, the full-time Certified Coding Analyst will manage edit work queues, provide training for new coders, and participate in operational projects while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Codes and abstracts accounts while managing edit work queues and resolving billing/account edits and denials
- Provides training and mentorship to new coders on processes and technology, ensuring they have necessary resources
- Participates in coding-related IT projects, including testing new functionalities and communicating issues and resolutions
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with completion of a course in anatomy and physiology
- Certification as a Coding Specialist, Professional Coder, Registered Health Information Administrator, or Registered Health Information Technician
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care coding experience and 1 year of experience resolving coding/billing account edits and denials
- Computer/data entry experience required
- AAPC certification required upon hire
