Certified Coding Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Associate.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records to assign diagnosis codes and ensure compliance with coding guidelines
• Maintain a coding accuracy score of 95% or higher and participate in quality checks
• Complete assigned coding volumes within productivity targets and meet deadlines for coding deliverables

Qualifications

• CPC, CCS, RHIT, or CRC certification required
• 1-2 years of medical coding experience, preferably in risk adjustment or HCC coding
• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of CMS-HCC models and diagnosis coding guidelines
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and coding platforms
