Certified Coding Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing & Coding Associate to manage the revenue cycle and ensure claims are processed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient medical records to extract information and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes
• Create, review, and submit clean claims to insurance payers using billing software
• Follow up on unpaid claims, handle denials, initiate appeals, and manage accounts receivable

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience as a biller and/or coder with equivalent education/certification
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Coding Associate (CCA) is required
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Proficiency in navigating multiple software tools, including Google Sheets
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving responsibilities
