Certified Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Auditor, responsible for maintaining coded data quality through ongoing quality review and assessment of outpatient or inpatient records.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures coding compliance by applying all coding guidelines and regulations
• Identifies training needs and provides education to team members, including coaching and mentoring
• Performs focused reviews and quality audits, preparing audit reports for leadership

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Associates Degree in Healthcare or Related Field (Preferred)
• 5-6 years of Acute Care Inpatient and Outpatient Coding experience (Required)
• 2 years of Auditing experience in Acute Care Inpatient and Outpatient settings (Required)
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification upon hire (Required)
