Certified Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a SIU Coding Auditor to join their Special Investigation Unit team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop expertise on CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 Coding guidelines and insurance billing requirements
• Perform complex audits of medical records and claims to determine accuracy
• Create audit reports and tools for team communication and training

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of coding or auditing experience across multiple specialties
• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant work experience
• Certification as a Professional Coder (CPC), Inpatient Coder (CIC), or Outpatient Coder (COC)
• Experience in a production-based environment
• Experience with both outpatient and inpatient auditing
