Certified Coding Auditor

Job Summary

To ensure compliance with coding regulations, the full-time Certified Coding Auditor will perform audits and abstraction of medical records to accurately identify and submit ICD codes, working remotely to support risk adjustment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits of medical records to verify the accuracy and appropriateness of submitted ICD codes
• Utilize clinical documentation to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and internal policies
• Perform self-process audits to maintain adherence to coding guidelines and project deadlines

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in medical record documentation review, diagnosis coding, or auditing
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist-Physician) certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
