Certified Coding Auditor
Job Summary
To support a growing HIM consulting team, the remote Profee Coding Auditor will perform coding audits and reviews across various specialties and record types while assisting in educational initiatives for clients and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct coding audits and reviews on professional fee records, including Evaluation and Management and surgical CPT codes
- Research regulatory and coding guidelines to provide clients with accurate documentation and support
- Collaborate on senior-level projects, including the development of educational materials and tools for the audit process
Required qualifications
- AHIMA or AAPC certification
- 2-5 years of experience in E/M audits and previous coding experience
- Ability to remain impartial and objective in audit findings
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with EMR systems and UASI audit software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction
