Certified Coding Consultant

Job Summary

To support efficient medical coding processes, the full-time Certified Coding Consultant will utilize coding resources and software to assign appropriate medical codes, maintain productivity standards, and mentor others, while enjoying the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize resources to identify and assign appropriate medical codes based on clinical documentation
• Manage multiple work demands to meet productivity and turnaround time standards for medical records
• Educate and mentor team members to enhance medical coding quality and compliance

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Certified Coder with credentials from AAPC (CPC) or AHIMA (CCS, RHIT, RHIA)
• 3+ years of CPT & ICD coding experience in surgical, hospital, or clinic settings
• Intermediate proficiency with PC-based software
• Ability to work standard business hours with occasional overtime or weekend availability
