Certified Coding Coordinator

Job Summary

To ensure timely and complete documentation, the full-time remote Certified Coding Coordinator will monitor operations and workflow for HIM Coding, acting as a liaison between healthcare providers and third-party suppliers while optimizing processes and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison to eliminate roadblocks and improve processes between Baylor Scott & White Healthcare, providers, and third-party suppliers
• Track services using key performance metrics and monitor supplier compliance with KPIs and CPIs
• Educate physicians and clinicians on coding guidelines and documentation improvement while assisting in policy development

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years of relevant work experience
• 4 years of experience in coding
• Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent coding certifications
• Knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT procedural coding
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment
