Certified Coding Education Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance coding quality and education initiatives, the full-time Coding Education Specialist will assist in the design, development, and delivery of coding training and communication strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in developing strategic coding communication and education plans tailored to target audiences and training needs
• Create and deliver training materials, presentations, and conduct sessions on current billing and coding practices
• Manage the maintenance of coding training materials and respond to coding inquiries while performing random chart audits

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential
• Three years of experience in E/M and/or surgical coding and reimbursement activities
• Clinical background and previous chart abstraction experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT coding conventions
