Certified Coding Education Trainer

Job Summary

To enhance coding proficiency in healthcare settings, the part-time Certified Coding Education Trainer will prepare curricula, design assessments, and implement training programs while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate curricula and course materials for coding education
• Design and implement training programs, including onboarding and ad hoc training
• Assess and monitor the progress of trainees in coding practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, HIM, or a related business field preferred
• Certification in one or more coding areas (e.g., CPC, COC, CPMA) required
• Three years of healthcare and/or outpatient-based coding experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of hospital billing practices and CMS regulations preferred
