Job Summary
Supporting Neonatology and Pediatric Subspecialties, the full-time Certified Coding Liaison will deliver coding education, lead training for physicians, and provide documentation feedback while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver proactive coding education through newsletters, presentations, and scorecards covering various coding guidelines and payer requirements
- Lead onboarding and compliance training for employed physicians and APPs, ensuring accurate documentation practices from the outset
- Serve as the primary contact for coding inquiries, coordinating with internal teams to resolve complex coding issues and monitor charge submissions
Required qualifications
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Coding Specialist (CCS), Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P), or Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
- Completion of advanced training through a recognized or accredited program equivalent to post-secondary education
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in expert-level professional coding
- In-depth knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology for precise code assignment
